Sopa De Arros (Spanish Rice) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rice
    1 small can tomato sauce or paste
    1 small can peas
    3 small green onions, finely chopped
    handful of fresh cilantro
    salt, pepper and garlic to taste
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
Preparation
    Brown rice in 1 tablespoon hot oil making sure not to burn rice; brown rice thoroughly.
    Take skillet off flame; let sit until almost cool.
    Add 3 cups water or as needed.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add chopped onion, fresh cilantro and tomato sauce or paste.
    Add salt, pepper and garlic to taste.
    Simmer until fully cooked.
    Just before serving, add cooked peas.
    In serving dish garnish with sprig of fresh cilantro.
