Ingredients

6 large eggs
5 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. orange extract
1/2 c. orange juice
1 c. milk
1 large loaf French bread
cinnamon
mandarin orange sections (optional)
strawberries (optional)
Preparation

Slice loaf into 1-inch pieces.
In a large bowl, whisk eggs, sugar and extracts until mixed. Add juice and milk; stir to mix. Dip bread and place slices on baking sheets.
Pour remaining liquid over slices; sprinkle with cinnamon.
Refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight until all liquid is absorbed.
Melt butter in skillet on medium heat and fry each side until browned.
Garnish with oranges and/or strawberries.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serves 8.
