Cheese Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 large can evaporated milk
1/2 c. flour
3 eggs, separated
8 oz. American cheese
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
6 Tbsp. sugar
1 can water
1/2 stick oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
2 baked 9-inch pie crusts
Preparation

Mix sugar and flour; slowly add milk, mixing well.
Fill can with water.
Add to mixture.
Cook over medium heat until it begins to thicken.
Mix small amount of filling with beaten egg yolks until smooth.
Add to filling.
Mix well while continuing cooking.
Stir in cheese, mixing until melted.
Remove from heat. Add butter and vanilla.
Pour into crust.
Add cream of tartar to egg whites. Beat until glossy.
Add sugar slowly, beating well until stiff.
Spread on filling. Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown.
