Caramel Icing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
2 1/4 Tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 c. confectioners sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. milk
Preparation

Melt in saucepan the butter.
Remove from heat.
Blend 1 1/2 tablespoons flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Stir in milk; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Boil 1 minute; if mix curdles, do not be alarmed.
Stir in 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed in cup.
Remove from heat.
Stir in confectioners sugar.
Set saucepan in cold water.
Beat until ready to spread.
Add vanilla and pecans.
