Dropped Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter, softened
2 1/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar, beating well at medium speed of electric mixer; add eggs, beating well.
Combine flour, baking powder, soda and nutmeg.
Add to mixture alternating with buttermilk, mixing well.
Stir in vanilla.
Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
Remove to racks to cool.
