Dennis Floge'S World Famous "Buck Shot Chili" - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 strips bacon, cooked, then chopped up (reserve fat)
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 chopped garlic cloves
3 lb. ground beef
12 oz. can tomatoes
12 oz. can kidney beans
salt to taste
1/2 bay leaf
2 tsp. chili powder for mild (more for hotter)
whatever you have in the cabinet to spice it up
4 small loaves sourdough bread (about 5 inches around)
Preparation

Saute the chopped onion and garlic cloves in the chopped bacon fat until tender.
Then add the ground beef and cook until browned.
Add the tomatoes and kidney beans, salt, bay leaf and chili powder.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 1 hour or so until desired thickness.
