Apple Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. apples, peeled and cut small
    water (enough to keep apples from sticking to crock-pot)
    1 1/2 lb. sugar (3 c.)
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation
    Cook apples until tender and mushy before adding spices and sugar.
    After adding sugar and spices, cook about 11 or 12 hours on high.
    Stir occasionally, leaving lid cracked open after adding sugar and spices.
    Put into jars and seal.
