Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. cornstarch
    10 c. water
    3 tsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Peel pears and drop in salt water.
    Take a spoon and spoon out core part.
    Boil in mixture of 2 parts water and 1 part sugar. Cook fast until tender.
    Pack in jars; fill with hot syrup and seal.
