Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 can cream-style corn
    2 eggs, beaten
    3 chopped jalapeno peppers (optional) or jalapeno cheese
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2/3 c. oil
    1 c. buttermilk or sour cream
    2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Combine cornmeal, salt and baking powder.
    Mix well.
    Add milk and eggs.
    Mix.
    Add remaining ingredients, except cheese.
    Pour 1/2 of mixture in well-greased cast-iron skillet.
    Spread cheese on top.
    Add rest of mix over that.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes.
