Beef Stew(Servings: 8) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef, cubed
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. sherry
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    2 whole bay leaves
    2 whole onions, quartered
    6 whole carrots, quartered
    4 whole potatoes, quartered
    2 dashes Tabasco
Preparation
    Sear meat in fat; add all except carrots and potatoes.
    Cook 1 1/4 hours.
    Add carrots and potatoes and cook 30 minutes.
    Serve with hot cornbread.
    Excellent warmed up.
