Ruby Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. strawberries
    1 qt. red raspberries
    1 1/2 lb. red cherries
    sugar
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    few drops red food color
Preparation
    Weigh together the strawberries, raspberries and cherries. Add equal weight of sugar to fruit; boil for 25 minutes.
    Add the lemon juice; boil for 2 minutes.
    Add the red food color.
    Pour into sterile pint jars.
    Seal and process for 5 minutes in boiling water bath.
    Makes 6 1/2 pints.
