Arroz Con Mantequilla - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. rice
    1 stick butter
    2 cloves garlic
    salt to taste
    4 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 can drained peas
    1/2 green pepper (optional)
Preparation
    Mash the garlic cloves and finely chop the peppers.
    Melt butter in the pot where you wish to cook rice.
    Briefly saute the garlic and green pepper in melted butter.
    Add the rice and saute a bit longer on medium heat.
    Add the boiling water to the rice little by little.
    Stir and add salt to taste.
    When the water evaporates lower the heat and cover.
    When rice is cooked, add peas and fluff with a fork.
    Serve hot.
