Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 c. apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1 lb. cucumbers, sliced thin
1 large onion, sliced thin
Preparation

In a 4-quart enamel or stainless steel saucepan heat sugar, vinegar and spices to boiling over high heat.
Stir frequently. When to a boil, add cucumber and onion slices.
Bring to boil again, then reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for ten minutes, stirring occasionally.
Store in covered glass containers in refrigerator.
Use within one month.
