Sweet And Sour Pork - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. lean pork, cut in 2 1/2-inch strips
1/4 c. brown sugar
pineapple juice
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 (No. 2) can pineapple tidbits, drained
8 maraschino cherries
2 Tbsp. oil
1/4 c. water
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. green pepper strips
Preparation

Brown pork slowly in oil, add water, cover and simmer until tender.
Combine sugar and cornstarch.
Add pineapple juice, vinegar, soy sauce and salt.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thick.
Pour over pork, simmer 10 minutes; add pineapple, green pepper and cherries.
Cook 5 minutes longer, stir often.
Serve over rice.
