Biscotti(Italian Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. margarine, melted
    4 Tbsp. anise seed
    4 Tbsp. anise liqueur or 1 tsp. anise oil
    2 c. chopped walnuts
    6 eggs
    5 1/2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Mix sugar with butter, seed, anise and nuts.
    Beat in eggs with a large mixing spoon.
    Mix dry ingredients and add to egg mixture.
    Mix thoroughly; chill dough, covered, for 2 to 3 hours. Shape dough directly on greased cookie sheets to form flat loaves 1/2-inch thick and 2-inches wide.
    Place only 2 loaves well apart on a sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Let cool in pans when cool.
    Slice loaves into 3/4-inch slices and lay the slices on their cut sides.
