Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium green tomatoes
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. sugar
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Slice tomatoes into 1/4-inch thick slices.
    Dredge slices in cornmeal.
    Fry tomatoes in hot oil in a skillet until browned; turning once.
    Drain well on paper towels.
    Sprinkle slices with salt, pepper and sugar.
    Serve hot.
