Corn Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. corn meal
1 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk or buttermilk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, well beaten
2 Tbsp. melted fat
Preparation

Mix and sift dry ingredients; add egg, milk and melted fat. Bake in shallow greased pan in moderate oven, 350\u00b0, for 20 minutes.
If buttermilk is used, use only 2 teaspoon baking powder and 1 teaspoon soda.
Drizzle caramel icing over cake.
