Chow Yuke - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. or more round steak
    1/2 c. water
    1/3 c. soy sauce
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. ginger
    2 medium green peppers
    2 onions
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1 clove garlic
Preparation
    Slice steak into thin slices.
    Soak in water, soy sauce, sugar and ginger for 15 minutes.
    Heat oil and clove garlic.
    Add steak; saute for 3 to 4 minutes until tender.
    Add meat liquid and cornstarch to make a thin gravy.
    Serve with rice.
    (Add tomatoes if wanted.)
