Gingerbread(Makes 12 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. molasses
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1 egg
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 c. hot water
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, molasses and then dry ingredients that have been sifted together.
    Add hot water and beat until smooth.
    Pour batter into greased 13 x 9-inch shallow pan and bake for 35 minutes at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0.
    Cool; cut into squares.
    Top with whipped cream.
