Strawberry Fig Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. peeled whole figs
    3 c. sugar
    1 large pkg. strawberry gelatin
Preparation
    Peel
    figs;
    layer
    with
    sugar and gelatin.
    Let stand until they
    make their own juice (at least 2 hours).
    Cook on low heat 20 to 25 minutes.
    Let cool and seal in jars.
