Layered Chicken Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head lettuce
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced thin
    2 1/2 c. boiled chicken or use tuna
    1 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
    1/2 c. red onion
    1 pkg. frozen peas (not cooked), rinsed and drained
    1 pt. mayonnaise or as much as desired
    3 Tbsp. sugar, sprinkled all over
    8 slices crisp fried bacon, crumbled
    3 boiled eggs, chopped
Preparation
    Top with grated cheese and refrigerate.
