Pepper Steak With Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. hot cooked rice
    1 lb. lean beef round steak, cut 1/2-inch thick
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 1/2 c. beef broth
    1 c. sliced onion
    2 bell peppers, sliced
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 c. soy sauce
Preparation
    While rice is cooking, salt and pepper steak and cut into 1/2-inch pieces.
    Using a large skillet, melt margarine and add meat to margarine and brown.
    Add garlic and broth; cover and simmer 30 minutes.
    Stir in sliced onion and bell peppers; cover and cook 5 minutes more.
    Blend cornstarch, water and soy sauce; stir into meat mixture.
    Cook 5 minutes more or until gravy is thick. Serve over hot rice.
    Makes 6 servings.
