My Pop'S Batter Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. corn meal
2 c. boiling water
1 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 c. milk
3 eggs
1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Put corn meal in a mixing bowl.
Scald half of it with the boiling water.
Add salt and milk.
If more milk is needed to make a smooth running batter, add a little at a time.
Add eggs and sugar; beat well.
Melt the butter in an 8 x 8-inch baking dish (may be heated in the oven); circulate the butter over the dish well.
Pour melted butter into the batter and mix well.
Pour batter into baking dish.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for about 35 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve with more butter!
