Shrimp Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. raw shrimp
    3 c. water
    2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, diced
    2 c. canned tomatoes
    2 c. sliced okra
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. basil leaves
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    1 1/2 c. hot, cooked rice
Preparation
    Wash, peel, dice and devein shrimp, then refrigerate.
    Save shrimp shells and rinse in cold water.
    Combine shells, water and salt in kettle and simmer for 20 minutes.
