Depression Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. bacon, sliced in slivers
    1 very large onion, chopped
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    3 cans sliced, stewed tomatoes
    black pepper
Preparation
    Fry bacon until very lightly brown.
    Pour off grease.
    Add green pepper and onion, cook until vegetables are tender.
    Add tomatoes and lots of pepper (to your taste) and simmer 1 to 2 hours or until half the liquid is gone.
