Dustin'S Favorite Green Bean Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 (16 oz.) cans green beans or 1 qt. home-canned green beans
    1 (16 oz.) can pinto beans
    2 slices bacon
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can sliced water chestnuts
    1 can French fried onions
Preparation
    Fry bacon, crumble and return to skillet.
    Do not drain bacon grease.
    Add onion and cook until soft.
    Drain 2 cans of green beans, pinto beans and water chestnuts and add.
    Add one can of green beans, undrained.
    (If using home-canned green beans, save about 1 cup of the juice and add to skillet.)
    Simmer for 15 minutes.
    Add mushroom soup and stir until well blended.
    Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Shake French fried onions on top of bean mixture.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven until mixture is bubbly and beginning to turn brown.
