Cherry Centers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. unsalted butter (room temperature)
1 c. confectioners sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 Tbsp. milk
2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
red and green candied cherries
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 375\u00b0.
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
Add the eggs and beat well.
Beat in the vanilla and the milk.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Add the sifted ingredients to the batter.
Mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Gently press a candied cherry into the center of each mound.
Bake for 10 minutes or until the bottoms of the cookies are lightly browned and tops look dry.
