Sweet Potato Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking [powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
1 c. cooked, mashed sweet potatoes
2 Tbsp. milk
Preparation

Combine first four ingredients.
Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Add sweet potatoes and stir until evenly mixed.
Sprinkle milk over the mixture.
Stir until dry ingredients are moistened.
Turn dough onto a heavy floured surface.
Pat to a 1/2-inch thickness.
Cut dough with a 2-inch biscuit cutter.
Place biscuits on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
