Squash Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 yellow squash
1 medium onion
1 stick butter
8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 pkg. Captains wafers, crushed
1 egg, beaten
salt and pepper
Preparation

Slice squash and onion; cook in a small amount of water until nearly tender.
Drain and mash.
Add cheese, butter, egg and crackers.
Put into greased dish.
Top with layer of crushed crackers and shredded cheese.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown on top (about 15 minutes).
