Chocolate Caramels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or oleo
2 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1 1/3 c. (14 oz. can) sweetened condensed milk
1/3 c. cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. walnuts, diced
Preparation

Lightly grease foil lined 9-inch square pan.
Melt butter in heavy saucepan; add sugar and corn syrup.
Blend well.
Cook over medium low heat until sugar dissolves and mixture is well blended. Stir in sweetened condensed milk and cocoa.
Cook over medium heat until mixture reaches 240\u00b0 using candy thermometer (soft ball stage).
Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and nuts.
Pour mixture into prepared pan; cool.
When cool, cut into 44 pieces and wrap individually in Saran Wrap.
