Ann'S Clam Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
3 carrots, peeled and diced
salt
6 slices bacon
1 medium onion
2 pieces celery
1/2 green pepper
1 (28 oz.) can chopped tomatoes
2 tins (5 oz.) clams
1 bay leaf
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 Tbsp. chopped dried parsley or 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh
big dash of garlic salt
coarse ground pepper
Preparation

Cover potatoes and carrots with water.
Add salt and cook until tender.
Dice and simmer bacon, onion, celery and green pepper until all are soft.
In soup pot, place remaining ingredients.
Add potatoes and carrots and their water to the pot.
Add the bacon mixture to the pot.
Simmer for a few minutes to mix flavors.
