Pear Preserves - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
8 c. pears, sliced or chopped
Preparation

Boil sugar and water for 5 minutes.
Add pears.
Cook 45 minutes to 1 hour according to pears.
Stir often to keep from sticking.
Put in jars.
Seal and freeze or use two piece jar lids.
Boil flats, clean jar edges and place flat and ring on jars.
Process 10 minutes in water bath.
