Escalloped Corn With Oysters - cooking recipe

1 pt. oysters
2 c. coarsely crumbled crackers
1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn
6 Tbsp. cream
1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Drain oysters; reserve liquid.
Grease shallow baking dish. Arrange 1/2 oysters and 1/2 drained corn in pan.
Sprinkle crumbs on top, then another layer of oysters and corn.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Mix 3/4 of the oyster liquid, melted butter and cream and pour over the oysters and corn; chill.
Approximately 30 minutes before dinner, heat oven to 425\u00b0.
Top mixture with additional crumbs and bake 20 minutes or until bubbles and crumbs are browned.
Serve with a tossed salad.
