Baked Sweet Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. large sweet onions, sliced
    1/4 c. margarine, melted
    1 can cream of celery soup (undiluted)
    1 c. half and half
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
    8 slices French bread
    2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
Preparation
    Saute onions in melted oleo.
    Spoon into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Combine soup, half and half, salt and pepper.
    Pour over onions.
    Sprinkle cheese over mixture in pan.
    Place bread slices on top and brush with 2 tablespoons melted oleo.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
