Chicken Liver Pate - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. peanut oil
    1/2 c. diced onion
    1 lb. cooked chicken livers
    1 hard-cooked egg
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Heat peanut oil in a heavy skillet.
    Add diced onion and saute until transparent, about 5 minutes.
    Allow to cool in skillet. Grind or chop together chicken livers, egg and entire contents of skillet.
    Stir in salt and pepper.
    Chill until ready to serve. Makes about 1 1/2 cups spread.
