Ozark Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, well beaten
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. flour (unsifted)
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. finely chopped apples
    1/2 c. finely chopped pecans or black walnuts
Preparation
    Beat egg and sugar well in a small mixing bowl; sift flour with baking powder and cinnamon.
    Mix in.
    Stir in vanilla, apples and nuts.
    Spoon batter into a well-greased and floured 8 x 8 x2-inch pan; bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until crusty brown on top.
    Let pudding cool about 1/2 hour before serving.
