Uncooked Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    1 c. candied cherries, chopped
    1 c. candied dates, chopped
    1 c. candied pineapple, chopped
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 lb. butter (use butter only)
    3 Tbsp. vanilla wafers, smashed to crumbs
Preparation
    Mix butter, sugar and Karo.
    Heat enough to melt together and mix well.
    Prepare wafers, fruit and nuts.
    Pour melted mixture over dry ingredients and mix well.
    Pack firm into a tube pan or individual pans and let stand overnight or several hours before cutting.
