Hot Cabbage Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 slices bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, chopped
    1 medium cabbage, chopped
    1/3 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of salt and pepper
Preparation
    Fry bacon in Dutch oven.
    Add onion and green pepper; saute until vegetables are tender.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Cover and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat; simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Yield:
    8 to 10 servings.
