Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 oz. red cake coloring
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream sugar, shortening and eggs.
    Make paste of food coloring and cocoa.
    Add to creamed mixture.
    Sift flour and salt together; with buttermilk, by hand, stir in vinegar and soda, but don't beat.
    Pour into 2 (8-inch) round cake pans that have been sprayed with Pam and floured.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
