Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    6 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    1/4 c. oil
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (16 oz.) can tiny green peas, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can corn, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can French-cut green beans, drained
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. onion
    1 (4 oz.) jar pimentos, drained and sliced
Preparation
    To make dressing, in a medium saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper.
    Bring to a boil.
    Remove from heat and cool completely.
    In a large bowl, combine peas, corn, beans and remaining ingredients.
    Add dressing and toss until vegetables are coated.
    Chill several hours or overnight.
    Stir occasionally.
