Squash Casserole #1 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. yellow squash
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 stick margarine
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    10 saltine crackers, crushed (save 1/4 for topping)
    2 eggs
    1 c. Cheddar or Velveeta cheese, cut in small pieces
    1/2 c. milk
    dash of salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cook squash and onion in water until tender and almost dry. Add margarine and mash.
    Add eggs, milk, sugar, crackers, salt and pepper; mix well.
    Add cheese.
    Pour into buttered casserole dish. Add the 1/4 cup crumbs and some pats of margarine.
    Cook at 350\u00b0 for 1/2 hour.
    Let stay in oven until crumbs are browned.
    Serves 6 or more.
