Chili And Tortilla Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    18 (6-inch) flour tortillas
    4 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
    1 c. chopped green onion
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    3 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
    1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
    2 c. chili sauce
    3 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/4 c. sour cream (optional)
    paprika (optional)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Fry tortillas in oil, 5 to 10 seconds on each side.
    Spread refried beans 1/4-inch thick on 4 tortillas. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons each onion and pepper over beans; top with 1/4 cup Monterey Jack cheese.
    Place a second tortilla on top of each prepared tortilla pie.
    Crumble ground beef very fine.
    Stir in chili sauce.
    Spoon beef mixture on top of second tortilla, about 1/2 cup per pie.
    Top each pie with 1/4 cup Monterey Jack cheese.
    Place a third tortilla on top of each prepared tortilla pie.
    Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons each onion and pepper; top with 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese.
    Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until cheese melts.
    Garnish with sour cream and paprika, if desired. Makes 6 individual pies.
