Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 slices bacon
    1 1/2 c. diced potatoes
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. fresh corn, cut from cob or No. 2 can cream-style corn
    2 slices onion, chopped
    3 c. hot water
    1 c. evaporated milk
    dash of black pepper
Preparation
    Cut bacon into 1 inch lengths and put into soup kettle.
    Add onion and cook until onion is soft and bacon done.
    Add potatoes, corn and water.
    Cook until potatoes are tender.
    Add margarine, milk and seasonings.
    Reheat to boiling and serve piping hot. Serves 5.
