Hershey'S Great American Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, softened
    3/4 c. packed light brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 c. (12 oz. pkg.) Hershey's semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    In large mixer bowl cream butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs and beat well.
    Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture.
    Stir in chocolate chips and nuts if desired. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until very lightly browned.
    Cool slightly, remove from cookie sheet onto wire rack.
    Cool completely.
    Yields about 6 dozen cookies.
