Scalloped Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head cabbage
    1 c. medium white sauce
    1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 c. buttered bread crumbs
Preparation
    Cook large pieces of cabbage in boiling salted water for 5 to 7 minutes.
    Do not overcook.
    Drain cabbage.
    Cut off thick stems and cut into small pieces.
    While cabbage is cooking, prepare the buttered crumbs and white sauce.
    When last portion of milk is added to sauce, add the cheese.
    When cheese is melted, layer cabbage and sauce in a greased baking dish.
    Top with buttered crumbs and bake 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
