Dirt Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 stick butter
1/2 box confectioners sugar
3 1/4 c. milk
2 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
1 (12 oz.) container whipped topping
1 1/4 lb. pkg. Oreo or Hydrox cookies

Preparation

Mix cream cheese, butter and powdered sugar.
Mix milk and pudding together.
Blend in whipped topping.
Combine these two mixtures.
Crush cookies.
In a clean, new 8-inch clay pot or plastic flour pot, make layers of cookies, then creamy mixture. Line with foil if using new clay pot or cover hole with small plastic lid.
End with 1 1/2-inch layer of cookies.
\"Plant\" an artificial flower in center.
Cover the stem with plastic wrap. Chill several hours or overnight.
Serve with new, clean shovel.
