Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 sticks margarine
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 lb. chopped dates
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
2 c. pecans
4 c. plain flour
pinch of salt
4 eggs
1 lb. orange candy slices
1 can coconut

Preparation

Cut up dates, candy and nuts with flour. Cream together butter, sugar and eggs. Add 1 cup buttermilk. Add soda to other 1/2 cup buttermilk, then add to creamed mixture. Add flour mixture and mix well. Bake in tube pan at 275\u00b0 for 3 hours.
