Old-Fashioned Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. oleo, softened
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, beaten
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Grease twelve 2 1/2-inch muffin pan cups; set aside.
In medium bowl, combine dry ingredients; mix well.
Using pastry blender, cut in oleo and shortening until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
Combine milk, vanilla and eggs. Add to dry ingredients all at once, stirring just until moistened. Do not overmix.
Spoon batter into prepared cups, filling each 3/4 full.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from pan to cooling rack.
Serve warm.
Makes one dozen.
