Baked Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 qt. applesauce
    10 to 12 apples (according to size)
    pitted dates
Preparation
    Spread applesauce in baking pan.
    Core apples and peel down an inch from top.
    Place on applesauce.
    Stuff each apple with 1/2 of a pitted date and 1/2 teaspoon margarine.
    Sprinkle apples lightly with cinnamon.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until tender, basting with sauce 2 or 3 times.
