Caramel Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
    3 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream the shortening.
    Gradually add sugars and cream thoroughly. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Stir flour, salt and soda. Gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well.
    Press from a cookie press or drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
